Overview

In this 48-hour online, self-directed, and facilitated course, learners will explore how to apply teaching techniques that encourage effective instruction, lesson planning and evaluation. Learners will have the opportunity to practice developing a lesson that includes measurable and observable objectives and includes appropriate instructional materials, learning activities and assessments. They will also explore and build their own icebreaker exercise that they could use for teaching or facilitating a lesson. Learners will also be asked to observe either a facilitator or a teacher delivering a lesson and provide feedback on what the facilitator/teacher did well and areas for constructive feedback.

Learners who successfully complete the course will earn a digital badge and certificate of course completion that can be downloaded and shared via social media.

Note: You can only register for this course if you have completed the other five theory courses included in the Adult Education Certificate Program.
