I have been in healthcare for 23 years; working 8 years as an unregulated healthcare provider and the last 15 years as a nurse. My background affords me the privilege of having a broad knowledge in several specialty areas including Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health & Addictions, Dementia, Acquired Brain Injury, Palliative & EOL Care, and Responsive Behaviours. I had previously spent 9 years of my career consulting in Sarnia Lambton for Behavioural Supports Ontario which allowed me the opportunity to work with many different health professionals within the community, LTC, and hospital settings. During this time, it strengthened my knowledge of the complexity of the people we serve and the many challenges that exist within the healthcare spectrum. I am currently working full-time as a Resident Care and Education Coordinator for a LTCH in Sarnia. My career in healthcare has been rewarding and stretching all at the same time and I love sharing my knowledge and experiences with others! Off work hours, I enjoy time with family, friends, my golden retriever, and 2 beagles.
