In this micro-credential, learners will explore the various risks of falling and how to identify them.  Additionally, learners will learn the importance of at-home safety checks and the risks to look for in your home.

Kristen Peach, Registered Practical NurseBorn in Ontario and moved to Newfoundland and Labrador with her family at age 8. She has always wanted a career in health care. In 2016, she graduated from the Licensed Practical Nursing program at the Centre for Nursing Studies in St. John’s, NL. She began her nursing career as an LPN working in a Level 3 Care facility with Eastern Health. She worked on contract in Chesterfield Inlet, NU, at Naja Home, a care home for children and young adults. . Now living in Sarnia, ON, she is trained in Acute, Surgical, and Community Nursing. She has also been a partner with Lambton College as a facilitator for PSW courses as well as Content Creator for Sault College.  She finds caring for the public and teaching others has been a very rewarding experience.
