In partnership with Future State Engineering, we have developed a Micro-credential Program that focuses on Operational Excellence. This is the first micro-credential of the program and it explores the topic of customer focus and leadership.

  • No admission requirements, no application process, no pre-requisites, open to anyone

  • Learn at your own pace using a computer, tablet or smartphone

  • Take up to 90 days to complete the course

  • Receive a certificate of course completion and digital badge for successfully completing the course which can be shared on social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter), downloaded as a PDF, or even embedded in an email signature

Micro-Credential Overview

In partnership with Future State Engineering, we have developed a Micro-credential Program that focuses on Operational Excellence.  This program includes five short courses, which address specific topics that are essential to building operational excellence within an organization.  

Throughout these courses, we will be referring to Future State Engineering’s  “House of Operational Excellence” to support your learning and to better understand how Operational Excellence is achieved and the conditions needed to create high-performing organizations.  The five short courses that make up this Micro-credential Program include:

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this short course, learners should be able to:

  • Analyze the importance of operational excellence, particularly how is relates to customer service and meeting customers' needs

  • Evaluate how to achieve organizational alignment and why it is necessary in achieving operational excellence

  • Analyze the need for effective leaders within the organization and how leaders can negatively or positively impact operational excellence

  • Recognize the vital role that employees play within the organization and why their perspectives matter

  • Analyze an organization's strategies to ensure that they align with performance metrics and the organization's short and long-term goals and planning

Max Krug provides operational excellence services expertise to organizations with the primary objective of achieving breakthrough financial and operational performance. Max has 35 years of experience in operations, and his range of expertise and experience includes manufacturing operations, distribution, and project management. He assists organizations in achieving Operational Excellence by utilizing Theory of Constraints, Lean Management, and Total Quality Management principles. He works with companies to develop corporate strategy and provides hands-on implementation support of the actions required to create a high performing organization.   Max holds several certifications in Theory of Constraints, Lean, and Six Sigma in addition to a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Alfred University and an MBA from St. Bonaventure University.
