About this Course

In this 30-hr course, learners will learn the difference between discipline and punishment and the various reasons why children misbehave.  Additionally, learners will explore discipline measures for specific age groups and identify strategies to effectively address challenging behaviours in preschoolers, school-aged children, pre-teens and teenagers. 

 Learners will also determine the importance of establishing healthy routines for various age groups and the need for developing transitions to support routines within a home environment.  Lastly, learners will learn how to develop appropriate routines for specific age groups and evaluate what to do in particular scenarios and situations.
