Micro-credential Overview

In this 15-hr micro-credential, learners will explore mindful leadership, particularly identifying their own personal strengths and weaknesses, along with some tools to develop their leadership capabilities. Learners will also create a plan of action to help them continue practicing their leadership skills, as well as reflect on who they are as a leader. Learners will explore leadership theories and the differences between effective and ineffective leadership styles. Learners will examine personal leadership characteristics and assess individual strengths and weaknesses related to the process of leadership. Lastly, learners will design a creative personal or professional leadership plan.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this micro-credential, learners should be able to:

  • Identify your personal strengths and weaknesses, along with some tools to develop your leadership capabilities

  • Explain contemporary leadership theory and the differences between effective and ineffective leadership
