Overview

In this 6-hour self-directed online course, learners will explore the basics of mental illness, neurobiology, and pharmacology. Learners will discover the concept of neurobiology, the divisions of the nervous system. and the fundamental differences between pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics. Lastly, learners will discover the impact of addictions and mental illnesses on people's behaviours and decision-making and will be asked to reflect on their own biases regarding mental illnesses and addictions and describe strategies to combat stigma.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this micro-credential, learners will be able to:
