Overview

This 42-hour self-directed, online and facilitator-led course will help you learn the different tools and technologies to help you manage eLearning projects. You will be tasked with completing different assessments that will require you to identify your stakeholders, create a comprehensive work breakdown structure and communication plan, and lastly, demonstrate your ability to manage multiple projects. 

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, learners should be able to:

  • Describe the key stages of a project lifecycle and comprehend the three project management constraints: time, cost, and scope, as they apply to e-learning projects.

  • Identify the unique characteristics that constitute a project and understand the role and importance of the project manager in an e-learning design project.

  • Identify stakeholders and be able to conduct a needs assessment, analyze and prioritize their needs to create a project charter and plan.

  • Create a Work Breakdown Structure, assign tasks to team members and manage workload and resource allocation.

  • Apply different Project Management Methodologies, including a backwards planning method.

  • Plot out a comprehensive project plan using project management software such as Microsoft Teams & Planner, Asana, or Trello.

  • Create a communication plan that meets the needs of all the stakeholders.

  • Manage stakeholders through tracking and monitoring, clear communication, and effective conflict resolution strategies.

  • Manage multiple projects through all stages of the project lifecycle, including closing the project.
