Micro-credential Overview

Cybersecurity for Everyone is designed for the largest possible audience of learners. It will provide learners with a strong foundational knowledge which will drastically increase their personal and professional cybersecurity abilities.

Learners who successfully complete the course will earn a digital badge and certificate of course completion that can be downloaded and shared via social media. 

You will have access to the course for 90 days to work through the content.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, learners should be able to:

  • Recognize that cybersecurity is everyone’s responsibility.

  • Identify social engineering, the human side of hacking, where cybercriminals use deception to manipulate individuals into divulging confidential or personal information.

  • Describe scams and fraud and how to protect yourself from becoming a victim.

  • Identify high-tech attacks, which are what we commonly think of as hacking.

  • Discuss securing one's personal and organizational cybersecurity with specific software, hardware, and service recommendations.

  • Create cyber-incident response planning and the recovery process.
