Micro-credential Overview

In this micro-credential, learners will learn about different types of anxiolytics and sedatives to treat anxiety and insomnia, as well as the role of different neurotransmitters in these conditions. Learners will also identify the types, causes, signs, symptoms, and risks of insomnia, as well as the common risks associated with different types of anxiolytics and sedatives, along with their properties. Additionally, they will list the different types of anxiolytics and sedatives and describe their pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties. Lastly, they will be able to provide basic health education to clients taking anxiolytics and/or sedatives.

Learners will earn a Digital Badge and Certificate of Course Completion after successfully completing this course.
