Airport Planning, Marketing, and Accounting Essentials
In this micro-credential, learners will explore the following topics: airport planning, airport marketing, airport budget and general accounting procedures followed by an airport.

This is the last short course of a series of five short courses for our Airport Administration and Services Micro-credential Program. Each course contains four modules, discussions, and quizzes.
In this micro-credential, learners will explore the different factors that influence an airport site selection decision and how it impacts the planning processes. Also, they will explore the key components of an airport budget and the critical factors involved in building an effective budget. Learners will also learn the role of sales and passenger retail sales and discover specific procedures an airport should follow in recording various payments.
Learners who successfully complete the course will earn a digital badge and certificate of course completion that can be downloaded and shared via social media.
You will have access to the course for 90 days to work through the content.
At the end of this course, you should be able to:
1. Analyze factors that influence an airport site selection decision and how it impacts an airport planning process.
2. Explain the key components of an airport budget and the critical factors involved in building an effective budget.
3. Examine the role of sales and passenger retail sales in the marketing strategy of an airport.
4. Outline the specific procedures an airport should follow in recording various payments, including cash and cheque transactions as well as collecting overdues.
