Highlights

Here are some of the highlights for this micro-credentials. Please that this is an instructor-led micro-credential. Once you have registered for this micro-credential, please email elearning@saultcollege.ca to finalize your registeration.

  • No application process, no pre-requisites, open to anyone

  • Learn at your own pace using a computer, tablet or smartphone

  • Take up to 90 days to complete the course

  • Receive a certificate of course completion and digital badge for successfully completing the course which can be shared on social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter), downloaded as a PDF, or even embedded in an email signature

Micro-credential Overview

In this course, students will learn about the general health of the body without disease or injury and how to recognize differences in a client’s health and mental status. Students will learn how to correctly record the observations in the client’s record, recognize the need for immediate emergency care, and how to initiate protocols to access needed care. The student will recognize their role in reporting to the healthcare teams their observations of the client’s needs and resources they are aware of to promote optimal care for clients.

Learners who successfully complete the micro-credential will earn a digital badge and certificate of course completion that can be downloaded and shared via social media. 

You will have access to the course for 90 days to work through the content.
