Micro-credential Overview

In this micro-credential, students learn about computer basics, including the parts of a computer, how to use word processing software such as Microsoft Word, how to use a spreadsheet such as Microsoft Excel, how to search on the Internet, how to post to social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, and how to keep a computer in good working order.

This micro-credential is for someone who has never used a computer or who has limited computer skills. This course is also useful for those who haven’t used a computer in years and would like to be brought up-to-speed on current software and maintenance requirements.

Learners who successfully complete the course will earn a digital badge and certificate of course completion that can be downloaded and shared via social media. 

You will have access to the course for 90 days to work through the content.
